Pinterest Friday: Fashion on a Budget
It’s Pinterest Friday, and the Girl on a Budget has a craft that will be sure to please all the budget-friendly fashionistas out there. Lately, I have been noticing that straw or yarn bangles are popular in the stores, but who wants to spend up to $30 for bangles?! Luckily, the Dollar Store Crafts blog published a how-to guide for making “designer-inspired ‘straw’ bangles.” All you need is: a package of 50-foot poly rope (makes 2 bangles) in any color, fabric glue and a lot of patience.

Once you have gathered your materials, grab the poly rope and begin making crown knots until you have a chain that is big enough to wrap around your wrist. Once that is done, the bracelet will have four loose ropes. Take those ropes and pull them through the “finished end.” Squeeze the fabric glue where you have pulled the ropes through and let it dry. The last step is to cut the loose ropes, and voila, your designer-inspired bracelet is done!
